How can you make a difference?

Under the supervision of the Deputy Representative, the Chief Child Survival & Development will undertake the following tasks:

1. Managerial Leadership

2. Programme Development and Planning

3. Programme management, monitoring and quality control of results

4. Advisory services and technical support

5. Advocacy, networking and partnership building

6. Innovation, knowledge management and capacity building

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

 

  • A Medical or Advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in public health, pediatric health, family health, health research, global/international health, health policy and/or management, environmental health sciences, biostatistics, socio-medical, health education, nutrition and epidemiology or other heath related sciences is required.

  • A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant professional experience in public health, planning, management and/or emergency/humanitarian preparedness, at the international level some of which preferably in developing country is required. Relevant experience in programme/project development, government budgeting and management in any UN system agency or organization is desired
  • Fluency inFrench is required. A working knowledge ofEnglish is required.
